1. Complete the following problems from your textbook. Type your responses in any word-processor.

and complete the form on your own time. Write 1-2 paragraphs summarizing what you think are the most important and useful ideas in this reading.
3. Degree Plan Development: Pick a college major and transfer destination that you are interested in. Plan your class schedule for your time at EvCC keeping in mind courses needed for an Associate of Science Degree, departmental entry and graduation requirements at the four-year school of your choice, and the quarters when courses and their prerequisites are usually offered. Use the software tool of your choice to create an electronic record of your plan. If this is not your first quarter at EvCC, include at least your previous two quarters of attendance in your plan. You will appreciate having an easy to edit version for years to come. Save you plan as a pdf to submit to this assignment.

EvCC requires all students to meet with a faculty advisor and develop a degree plan before they can register for their third quarter classes. If you haven’t already completed a mandatory degree plan, schedule an advising appointment with one of the engineering advisors (http://evcc_engineering.youcanbook.meLinks to an external site.) or computer science advisors (http://evcc_cs.youcanbook.meLinks to an external site.). Bring your plan with you to your appointment as a starting point. Your advisor will appreciate it!
4. Choose an engineering, computer science or related Bachelor of Science degree program (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) at the same four-year school you used for task 2. Use information provided on the department website to determine the Bachelor of Science degree requirements. Figure out which classes you would be taking after transferring into that program with your EvCC associate degree. List these upper division courses. Make note of which classes are required and which are electives. Note you can copy/paste from the department website into a Word document to minimize the typing required for this task.
