Web Analysis Assignment | Homework Help Websites
Please read instruction. 2 pages and double space. No applicable paper format. Due time is 6pm(EST) of 10th, Feb(Monday).
Please note that you are writing for an intelligent person who is not familiar with web analytics. So please explain as you go – tell me what you’re doing and why. When there are actionable insights, please offer them. (This voice is good for your client, and will also make your analytics work stronger in your portfolio, as your report will be more self-documenting).
- Introduce your client (about one or two paragraphs). Who are they? Mission? Location? Business model? Provide a brief overview of the company as you can glean it from the company’s website. If there’s an email list, subscribe to it. Identify social network presences. Essential: provide the URL. I recommend you provide a screenshot of the home page, too.
- Website overview. Complete the 25-point checklist as found at http://drpete.co/blog/25-point-website-usability-checklist. Include the checklist as Appendix 1. Write a short narrative describing how the website fared on the checklist. I suggest about one paragraph for each of the four sections). Please either scan or take a photo of the completed worksheet.
I attached the 25-point checklist below.
- Top-level analytics. Set a time frame for your analytics study and justify it. Create either a table or chart to show them and label it. Write a short narrative describing the performance of the website, referring to your table or chart. Explain anything that a smart person who is not a web expert would want to have explained.
- Acquisition. Using the same time frame as above, create visual support for your acquisition report. Compare your site’s performance with norms as described by Avinash Kaushik in Step #2 at:

You may illustrate this comparison using a table, TreeMaps (class demo at infogr.am) or any other way that makes sense to you. Strive for a high data-to-ink ratio. Describe in narrative form, referencing your chart or table.
This assignment is designed to help you become familiar with the analytics platform and to learn how to present data from it.
