Group Blog should be 400 – 500 words
Your group will create a Group Blog using the Group Blog tool in the Group Discussion area. In each Group Blog, your group must address an issue related to a specific legislative policy that affects healthcare. Each blog entry must include the following:
• Description of the legislative policy with a negative or positive impact on healthcare or public health
• Explanation of why the policy is harmful or helpful to healthcare and ultimately to the delivery of quality patient care
• Impact of the policy from a cost perspective
• Recommendation(s) for policy revision or replacement
Each blog entry must be 400–500 words, cite at least 2 current peer-reviewed journal articles (published in past 5 yrs.) for support, the textbook, integrate a biblical worldview, and follow current APA format. Each Group Blog must address a different legislative policy.
In addition to the blog entry, your group will compose an email template for those concerned about the issue addressed in the blog entry to personalize and send to the appropriate legislator(s). Each email template must outline the issue and recommendation(s) for policy revision or replacement and seek the endorsement of the legislator(s). Each email template must be 200–250 words.
Review the Grading Rubric for the Blog & email template so that you will be sure to include all components for which you will receive points toward your group’s grade! EACH member of the group needs to check APA formatting (not just for your part) and ensure that you have included every component covered in the grading rubric prior to the assignment being submitted.
