You should select ONE paper from a list that has been provided, upon the mybeckett module page
You are to develop a critical analysis of your chosen paper, you are expected to use a recognised framework to aid your quality analysis, for example Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP), Support Unit for Research Evidence (SURE) or the Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Research (COREQ).

Assignments should be structured in the following way;
•    Introduction/Background (15%)
•    Methodology (40%)
•    Discussion (40%)
•    References and writing Mechanics [this is your references, not the paper’s] (5%)

You should write a maximum of 3,000 words. Please state the actual word count (excluding the reference list, titles etc. on the front page of your essay.
Please do not write your name on the submission.
Please do include your student number on the submission.
In terms of the number of words dedicated to each section, this is your choice, but you should be   aware of the mark allocation for each section. For example, ‘methodology’ will account for 40% of the marks and this should be represented within the overall essay. There are 15% of the marks for the Background/Introduction so I would recommend that this section accounts for no more than 4-500 words. The allowed number of words (3,000) will require your writing to be clear and concise. There is no +10% for this module.

Feedback
You will receive feedback via myBeckett with 4 weeks of the first submission and after the exam board for resubmissions.
Students may be required to attend a viva voca if there are areas within your dissertation that the markers wish to clarify or if you are borderline between classifications. A student requiring a viva voca will be sent details via email and must prioritize this so as not to delay their final mark release date.

Submission procedure
Submissions should be made online via the Turnitin link within the My Beckett site. You will be able to submit your work to Turnitin up until the submission date to generate an originality report.
Mitigation and Extenuating Circumstances
If you are experiencing problems which are adversely affecting your ability to study (called ‘extenuating circumstances’), then you can apply for mitigation. You can find full details of how to apply for mitigation at.
The University operates a fit to sit / fit to submit approach to extenuating circumstances which means students who take their assessment are declaring themselves fit to do so.
Late Submission
Without any form of extenuating circumstances, standard penalties apply for late submission of assessed work.
