Narrative Paper
Having read chapters twelve and thirteen from the Nichols text and all of The Family Crucible, you are now ready to compare the application of a new therapy model to the Brice family.
This paper has four topics that need to be addressed. Make sure to be intentional about addressing each topic. You don’t have a lot of space, so be thorough and concise.
How would a Solution-Focused therapist view the Brice family’s presenting problem? What is the problem that needs to be addressed? What is the solution to the problem from a Solution-Focused perspective?
How would a Narrative therapist view the Brice family’s presenting problem? What is the problem that needs to be addressed? What is the solution to the problem from a Narrative perspective?
Compare therapeutic interventions used by SFT and Narrative therapists. Identify and describe at least two interventions used by each approach. Make sure to describe how each intervention would be applied to the Brices.
