Transgender bathroom
This is a big debate right now. I believe that it should be up to the individual what bathroom they use. I do not believe that we as Americans have the right to tell people that they have to use the bathroom that is on the birth certificate. They should be able to use whatever makes them feel human. We should not discriminate.
I have a friend who was born a female and she never felt right, today at the age of 25 she is taking testosterone injections. He uses the ladies restroom or fact the he still has breast and lady parts. In December he is getting the breast removed. At which time, he plans on growing facial hair, and will use the men’s restroom even though technically according to his birth certificate he is a female and yes he still has female parts. He identifies as a male, dresses as a male, and yet has female organs.
Your outline should follow the (Roman numeral, alpha-numeris) format discussed in Chapter 9, p. 197. It should contain full sentences throughout and it should cite all six of the sources you gathered in Week 2.
This revised outline, moreover, should be changed from the draft you submitted to the discussion board. Revise your draft outline as needed based on feedback provided by your instructor and/or your peers in the Discussion board, as well as information in the textbook to help you create a final product. You should also refer to the following Informative Speech Outline Checklist OUTLINE CKLIST.docx.
Using the social-cultural topic for your upcoming speeches, conduct research both on the free internet and through the Herzing library. You need to find AT LEAST six sources for your upcoming speeches. One of those sources must come from the Herzing Library. Chapter 7 will help you learn the basics of researching your speech and evaluating the credibility of your sources. For each source, you should include a bibliographic entry formatted using the most recent APA style manual (see below link). Also provide 3-5 sentences about each source, summarizing the information it contains and explaining WHY it is credible (Note: use the Evaluating Internet Materials Checklist in course text, p. 137-141).
Next, at the end of the bibliography, write a 3-5 sentence paragraph explaining how you will change your speech from an informative speech to a persuasive speech incorporating relevant persuasive speech elements (content and delivery; see CH 14).
This assignment requires you to write seven separate 3-5 sentence paragraphs—one for each of your six sources in the bibliography and one paragraph at the end that discusses how you will change your speech from informative to persuasive.
