Find a modern ACAPELLA (only voices, no instruments) song, either sacred or secular, from any genre, that you feel has the following characteristics:
- a) shows “a clear indication as to it being either sacred or secular” in its text (non- ambiguous). – such as that expressed in the Renaissance liturgical work by Josquin called “Ave Maria,” and the Renaissance secular work by John Farmer called “Fair Phyllis.” NOTE: Be careful here! Also, now that we’re getting into the heart of the semester, basic research on the style of music you are submitting, its origins, and the similarities and differences to the styles of the assigned music should be included – as well as any other important information. You must demonstrate that you’ve researched details, related to your reading and listening assignments, in your writings in order to get full credit for your work.
4) And finally, include a URL to the location of the song so that the professor can listen/watch to the song/music for grading
