REFLECTION PAPER:   
The goal of this course is to come to a better understanding of the role that religion plays in peoples’ lives around the world in order to better appreciate the similarities and differences between the world’s religious traditions. 
In your Final Reflection Paper, you have a chance to express what you have learned and how you have met the goal of this course. 
In the paper you should put together a coherent argument that uses the people and information featured in the various audio-casts, videos, and websites that we have discussed about the importance of religion in the modern world.   
Requirements: 
1. Your paper must be at least 800 words. 2. Your paper must utilize information from two different audio-casts, web-casts, or websites from two different Units (one from each). 3. Your paper must explain how religion continues to play a significant role in the lives of people around the world. 4. Your paper should illustrate what you have learned about the importance of religion in the lives of people today.  
Grading Rubric for Reflection Paper: 
Is the essay at least 800 words?   5 points Does the paper utilize specific information from at least two different audio-casts, web-casts, or websites from two different Units?  Is specific information from each audio-cast, video, or website referenced?  Citation information must be included to receive credit.  15 points each – 30 points Does the paper explain how religion continues to play a significant role in the lives of people around the world?  20 points Does the paper conclude with a personal reflection on what the student has learned over the course of the semester about the meaning of religion in the modern world?  Does the student indicate how this knowledge will be used in her/his professional and/or personal life?  15 points
