2. In a fully developed, five-paragraph essay, discuss the concept of mirroring and creating rapport. The point of this assignment is to get you practicing mirroring. Do the following:
Observe strangers (in person or virtually) talking and analyze their body language. Describe the scene. Are they mirroring each other? Do they seem to have rapport? What can you tell about them from their body language?
Mirror someone in conversation without telling them what you are doing. Did it help create rapport? Did the other person notice? Was it awkward and, if so, why?
Anti-mirror someone in a conversation without telling them what you are doing. After you are done, tell them. Did it break the rapport? Did the other person notice? Was it awkward and, if so, why? Since this is based on your observations and practice, you can use first-person POV. Your thesis should be what you think of mirroring and body language as a business tool. You must have an opening paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. No more, no less.
