A logic for diversification is to take your firm’s core competence, and then apply that competence to other businesses.

This way, the firm tends to generate synergies (1+1 =3) across its businesses (e.g., Honda, P&G).

Your job is to assess Disney’s diversification strategy. Did they do a good job, a poor job, somewhere in between? Which worked, which didn’t, and why?
