You have two tasks in this week’s memo.

1) Imagine that you are a reporter for your local newspaper and your assignment is to write a short article about a sharp increase of suicides after your city experienced a sudden economic expansion and success. Based on Durkheim’s findings, how would your article explain this surge in the number of suicides?

2) Based on your reading of the Communist Manifesto and the selected reading from Capital, why would Marx believe that capitalism would bring its own downfall?
