why are you not using the equation editor, maybe it would help you to show your
calculations correctly, what you show are misleading.
Now, are you conducting z-tests or t-tests, I cannot tell which from what you show, you
never show whether you are finding the ztest value or the ttest value. You also need to
explain why you are using which ever test you are using, z or t. How are you getting
your p-values, please explain. And, all three of your tests are missing their conclusions,
please add them in there.
Overall your presentation is quite hard to follow and is completely void of any
explanations of what you are doing and why. Remember, you should be explaining
everything you are doing in these weekly Blackboard presentations.
Take another stab at this one and I am sure I will have some more constructive
comments once we can easily follow your work, decisions and conclusions, thanks.
#25. – Consider the following hypothesis test:
Ho : µ ≥ 45
Ha: µ < 45
A sample of 36 is used. Identify the pvalue and state your conclusion for each of the following sample
results. Use a= .01
_
a. x = 44 and s = 5.2
Test statistic = (4445) (6/5.2)= 1.153
p value = .12466
As p value >.01 we accept the null hypothesis
_
b. x =43 and s = 4.6
Test statistic = (4345) (6/4.6)= 2.608
P value = .00455
As p value <. 01 we do not accept the null hypothesis
_
c. x = 46 and s = 5.0
Test statistic = (4645) (6/5)= 1.2
P value = .11507
As p value >.01 we accept the null hypothesis
