please see the attachments for part 1 microsoft project file and word file
Update the Microsoft Project file you created in Assignment 3: VoIP Part 2 (Work Breakdown Structure) with the following changes:
- Set property values to denote progress in at least fifteen (15) of the line items.
- Set properties so that at least one (1) of the main tasks is behind schedule.
- Create a Gantt chart for your project.
- Take a screenshot of the Gantt chart which can later be inserted into your written paper.
- Create a PERT diagram that identifies the critical path.
- Take a screenshot of the PERT chart which can later be inserted into your written paper.
Note: If you need a tutorial on taking a screen shot, visit one of the following locations: (PC users: http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/) (MAC users: http://binged.it/1xriOcN).
Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:
- Compare and contrast the information that one receives from a Gantt chart, versus that of a PERT diagram.
- Examine the advantages of using a Gantt chart over a PERT chart and vice versa. Determine when it is appropriate to use one over the other. Justify your response.
- Assess the importance of the critical path in project management.
- Insert the screenshots of the Gantt and PERT charts you created based on the provided criteria. Elaborate on the status of the VoIP deployment project based on the updated information. Note: The graphical representations do not count toward the overall page requirement.
- Use at least two (2) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Introduction
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is the technology of that enables voice communication and multimedia sessions over the internet protocol (Varshney U. et al, 2002). Many companies are moving from the tradition public switched telephone network (PSTN) to the VoIP technology. VoIP is cost efficient to the organization compared to PSTN because of the single network infrastructure in VoIP.
Some of the major components that the organization should have for the deployment of VoIP include the following: Call Processing Server, User End-Devices, VoIP Gateways and IP networks. The organization will ensure a high bandwidth, routers and separate traffic from the network to ensure quality of service is met (Blake S. et al, 1998).
The organization will purchase 3 routers for the three buildings. Switches, cables and soft phones will be required for IP telephony. Uninterruptible Power Supply should be deployed to ensure that devices operate even in case power goes out.
The organization will have 60 employees in the three buildings. The first building is the Headquarters and will have 30 employees. The two branches, marketing and IT, will have 20 and 10 employees respectively.
Budget
Implementation cost
This includes planning, installation, and troubleshooting the initial implementation. These will cost the organization $800
Capital cost
This includes the IP PBX, routers costs and soft phones acquisition costs. The organization can spend $3,200 on the purchase of the gadgets.
Ongoing Operation Costs
This includes the staff resources both external and internal that help in operation of the VoIP network. It includes the cost of training the employees on the usage. The organization will spend $1,200 on this.
Work Breakdown Structure
Work Breakdown Structure is the logical decomposition of the work to be performed into smaller subtasks.
It should follow the format as below;
Project, Phase, Deliverable, Activity, Deliverable completion, Phase completion
