Organizational psychology theorists and professionals look at leadership styles that are transactional (focused on work tasks and employees’ ability to perform them) and transformational (focused on changing employees’ lives and abilities, based on vision and personal charisma).
The question of what makes an individual a good leader has fueled much research and debate in organizational psychology. Are leadership skills innate, or can one learn to be a great leader through education, professional development, and perseverance? Now, analyze the consequences of Donny’s leadership style and the effect he has on the performance of individual team members (Choc, Herb, Harvey, Harry, Larry, David, Bruce, John, and Bradley). What effects does he have on the overall performance of the team? Also include in your post how Donny’s absence affects team dynamics. If you were Donny, how you would lead the team?
