Discussion of two movies: A Perfect World(1993) and A Straight Line(1999). Both movies are made by 90s century. One is about a boy and the criminals special relationships and emotions which were born on the way. The other is about an old man experiencing though a special journey. Both movies focus a lot on emotions and relationships. But they talk more beyond that—more about the meanings, the journeys, and the memories of the life.
Besides discussing emotions, you
need to do two things:
how the travel, road or journey figures in these works
does the road help the characters to understand something or change?
also, since both of the films were made in the 1990s, you need to
discuss how what you see as the values and important issues of
that period and how they are reflected in the two works
