Assignment Objectives:  

• Analyze sources of capital used to finance a new venture.
• Review the principal terms of an equity investment offer
• Better understand how to tailor your idea and communicate effectively with an investor

Venture Capitalists are super sophisticated, wealthy investors  who can make your business idea fly. The money (“capital”)  they have, is like fertilizer for your business venture in that it can make the difference between growing revenues by 5% or by 100%.

Every entrepreneur with an idea, and really – any successful businessperson, must learn how to effectively communicate their idea to others in a very short amount of time, before attention spans drop off. They say it only takes 15 seconds to make a good first impression on someone.
