Review pages 299-304 in the textbook on “Program Innovations.”
Choose two of the educational innovations described and further research them (i.e. Land-based education, reciprocal education, cultural and language education, holistic education etc.). Find specific and real-world examples such as those illustrated in the “Community Close-Up” box on page 302/303.
In 500-750 words, describe the educational innovations you have chosen using specific examples and comment on how they are unique from mainstream education. Explain the way they incorporate tradition, culture, and/or language. Describe the impact this kind of education may have on indigenous peoples, and on the rejuvenation of indigenous culture.
