For this assignment, you will use Hirschi’s social bonding theory as a framework to analyze a criminal justice policy. Directions Provide an overview of Hirschi’s social bond theory. Identify and define the four components of a social bond, and explain how social bonds impact crime according to the theory. Select one of the criminal justice policies from the list below. Research the policy using the textbook and other available sources (e.g. academic journal articles, periodicals, online sources, etc.) Thoroughly describe the policy. Identify the rationale behind the policy, when the policy started, and where it was implemented. Provide specific examples of the policy. Make sure to cite your sources.
