Concept of Health GuidelinesPurpose
Central to the role of the MSN-prepared nurse is the promotion, restoration, and maintenance of health. The nurse has the ability to be a catalyst for change in the empowerment of the individual, communities, and populations to improve their health and health outcomes. An important first step in this process is to understand how individuals perceive and define the concept of health.The purpose of this assessment is to examine the concept of health, investigate the health continuum, analyze holistic perspectives of health, and develop a personal definition of health.
Through this assignment, the student will address the following course learning outcomes.

This assignment has a suggested due date of Sunday, 11:59 p.m. MT at the end of Module 1.
The final due date is Sunday, 11:59 p.m. MT at the end of Module 7.
Based upon your readings, create a 3-5 page paper to address the rubric criteria. Include a minimum of four peer-reviewed, scholarly sources, current within 5 years, to support your writing.
