Each student will write one 3 to 5-page papers in MLA format on a topic discussed in one of the class lessons, excluding lessons 1, 2, & 3. The papers must put forth a thesis, provide reasons for accepting the thesis, consider an objection, and offer a reply to the objection.

The paper should use the readings from that lesson as resources. These resources must be listed in the bibliography and quoted within the text of the paper. There will be an automatic five-point deduction for every missing resource and every missing quotation.
