I think this is a great idea! Before we start with a business plan, I would like to share with you some things I’ve learned in my class. You should consider if you have any hidden assumptions, which means any assumptions that you made without any knowledge, research, or data that might be wrong. For example, one assumption you might have is that dog owners will love your idea. Maybe you should try to do a survey and see if dog owners would consider buying something like that.

Another example of a hidden assumption would be from a marshmallow exercise we did in class. We were supposed to build a tower as high as possible with a marshmallow on top with very few material including spaghetti, tape, and a string. One hidden assumption we made during this exercise was that building little square bricks will make the tower stronger than just relying on the strength of one spaghetti.

Here is my best advice. I would start with some quick business experiments just to get more insight on your idea. This could include surveying dog owners on their opinions, researching some health problems that dogs might have, writing down pros and cons, and maybe looking up if such idea already exists.

One thing I could definitely help you out with is the survey. I have an instagram page with a large audience. I could come up with questions relevant to your idea and analyze the responds. I would avoid asking directly about your idea in order to avoid biases and assumptions.
