Week 7 Focused SOAP

The case study concerns a 50-year-old Caucasian woman who presented to the clinic with complaints of one week left breast swelling and greenish colored discharge. According to the patient’s report, her breast discharge was initially clear when it started; within four days, the color turned to yellow and now is a greenish color. She reported that, during activities and even at rest, she has often felt pain to her left breast, she rated the pain as a five to six on a pain level often. The patient reported taking Ibuprofen 600 mg every 8 hours for pain and inflammation with little relief. She denies a family history of breast cancer or other cancers. The patient has three children, and she is married.
