Students are required to write an annotative bibliography with 10 annotations on a single topic.

Annotations must be comprehensive and demonstrate the student’s ability to evaluate qualitative research.
Write a concise annotation that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article. Include one or more sentences that:
Describe the book or study (methods, findings, etc.) – this demonstrates your understanding of what you have read
Evaluates the findings (addressing limitations or bias) – this establishes your ability to make judgments and address problems in current research Makes a comparison to other works in the same/similar domain – This proves you can analyze resources and make overarching inquiries
Generates ideas on where the research would likely go next – this shows that you have the ability to create, be innovative in how you put pieces of information together and think about taking the next steps.
