INTEGRATED CASE ANALYSIS CRITERIA
|
The Final research report will determine 40 points towards the final grade for the course. The final project focuses on exporting a product or service from California to another part of the USA market or to an international market.
NOTE: TOPICS ARE LIMITED TO ONE PERSON, that is if a topic has been selected then select a different topic.
Written Analysis:
The written integrative case analysis should be:
- typed, double-spaced, a minimum of ten (10) pages and a maximum of fifteen (15) pages.
- use MLA format.
- Do Not cite Wikipedia as a resource.
- Remember to spell check and grammar check and provide sub-headings.
Written components include:
- A Cover page including the title of your case, your name, the date, the course name
- A Table of Contents as a guide to the report information
- The Executive Summary is the first section of the paper; however, it is the last section to be written.
- The reason for writing this section last is that you need to have written the entire document so that you are able to identify the key ideas the reader expects to review in the paper.
- REMEMBER the Executive Summary is for the EXECUTIVE. This means it needs to attract the Executive to either read the rest of the document or, more likely, refer the document to the appropriate staff person to read e.g. marketing, production, legal, etc.
- This section can be as long as 1-page and it is clearly longer than a paragraph.
- The Introduction section begins to describe the case background. It identifies the key issues to begin the analysis.
- Identify the organization (manufacturing, service, government, import/export, etc.)
- Draw structural framework (organizational chart)
- Explain your role in the organization, if any
- The Body … REMEMBER to address the core issues of the course provide 3 examples of each concept area
Evaluate company’s external environment (3 examples)

PowerPoint presentation (10 minutes)

The PowerPoint or Prezi rating of the Visuals rests on those areas identified in the rating sheet includes:
- Visual aids enhance the presentation. (GRAPHICS each slide)
- Video (1-2 minutes)
Material highlights main points (RULE OF 3); use key words
- Logo on each slide
- Conclusion (3-key concepts)
- Your Opinion/Recommendations
- Works Cited
A general rule for an oral presentation is 1-slide per minute. There may be more slides; however, the overall presentation has a 10 minute allotted timeframe.
- A suggestion for slide sequencing would be:
- Slide 1 is the cover page which provides the name of the case, each team member’s name, the date and the course name
- Slide 2 is the Table of contents or the list of topics your team will be discussing
- Slide 3 is an overview of the country exporting to
- Slides 4 through 9 features the concepts required for this assignment
