Canonical Sociological Methodologies

we will have covered all three of the canonical sociological methodologies that are prominent in our discipline: Comparative Historical Analysis, Quantitative Methods, and Field Work. Choose ONE, and in your own words evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your method of choice. Specifically,
a.) What kinds of questions does this particular method answer?
b.) Why do you find this method particularly compelling, or good at providing convincing arguments?
c.) Provide at least one critique of this method. What, in your opinion, is its major weakness?
d.) Finally, how would you address this critique? (i.e. what would you do to address this weakness if you were a researcher using this method?)
