Effective persuasive techniques in one culture may not work in another culture. Do a web search on “intercultural communication” and locate a topic that is important for technical (professional) communication.
Find an example of persuasive techniques effective in one culture that are not effective in another. Then in 250 – 300 words, write a summary of your findings, and discuss some of the steps a writer can take to address the needs of a global and international audience. Please do not use one of the first few articles/examples that come up in a Google search. Take time to research.
Why is considering your audience and his her background, experiences, etc…so important? Be specific. In addition, to conducting online research on reaching and persuading a Global and International audience, refer to Chapter 2 of your text when addressing this prompt.
