Developing Your Original Comment Developing Teams in the Real World

Think about issues or successes with teams where you’ve been a member (doesn’t have to be in the workplace.) they have to Consider the stages of group development presented in chapter 7.(graphic above.) Where did the group(s) experience it’s challenges or successes? Why? Remember to read the content of the textbook when answering the question.

Next, identify what teamwork competencies you believe would best address developmental issues or continue the success of the team. Team competencies are also featured in chapter 7, but you are welcome to also do a search on the Internet for information about working within any of the developmental states in question. (Creating New Groups and Teams section)

Addressing Demographic Diversity in Real-World Teams Reflect on course content that highlights the potential for issues when working with diverse teams.

Locate a resource that identifies at least one strategy (way of thinking or behaving) that could be used when working in a diverse team.

Discuss both the challenges and potential opportunities for growth associated with diverse teams. (Emerging Team Opportunities and Challenges section: Diversity and Multicultural Teams)
