Using Two Ethical Frameworks
Using two (2) ethical frameworks, including the framework you have been assigned by your TA, and another of your own choosing, answer the following prompts
1) What, in your informed opinion, is the main ethical and moral arguments in favor of self-driving cars (as opposed to human-controlled cars)? What are some of the main ethical dilemmas that self-driving cars will have to confront? Do you feel that self-driving cars will be better, worse, or about the same as human drivers in making ethical decisions?
2) How might the ethical frameworks you’ve selected inform the car’s decision-making in an ethical dilemma? At the end of the day, which of the frameworks you’ve outlined is the best for protecting the health, welfare, and safety of the public? Why?
